Barbecue Turkey Wings
Easy to make and a favorite for Super Bowl Sunday at the Steckler household! This recipe is easy to adjust to your own wing preferences. We make barbecue wings, but you can add your own buffalo sauce, garlic & parmasan, etc. if you prefer.
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:
  • Servings: 2 servings per wing

Ingredients

  • (to taste) Black Pepper
  • (1/2 tsp. per wing) Salt
  • (1/4 tsp. per wing) Paprika
  • (Barbecue Sauce) Or other favorite wing sauce
  • (1 wing = 2 servings) Turkey Wing

Directions

Preparation: Thaw out turkey wings the day before. Cut wings into three sections at the joints. discard the wing tip and place the two larger sections in ziplock bag. Add Salt, Paprika, and Pepper to the bag. If you have a different rub or seasoning mix that you like for wings feel free to use that instead. Seal the bag and toss until the wings are coated. Refridgerate seasoned wings in bag overnight.

Bake: Preheat oven to 350F. Butter the bottom of a glass baking pan and place wings in pan. Cover with aluminum foil and place in oven. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes; or until wings are tender. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes. While wings are baking, heat barbecue sauce (or other wing sauce) in a sauce pan on stove. Remove baked wings from pan and toss into sauce pan or brush wings with sauce to coat. Enjoy! your wings are ready to serve.
